FLORIDA BOUND

So Hank and I are off to FL to go to my cousin's wedding. We are staying at a resort that has dress code for the lobby...WTF!!! Oh well they say you can get from your room to the beach without going through the lobby...The crappy part is our flight leaves at 6am so i have to be dressed up to fly so I can check into the hotel! I guess we will have to leave our redneck ways behind...y'know I love haulin' Hank around in public in just a diaper.

I (of course) always thought my little man was pretty special but as I find out he's a phenomenon. OR he has a special talent that is considered a phenomenon. It is called the "binkie flutter" here is the article:

I also have been trying to get in on video and so far what I have caught isn't very good quality.
It is pretty funny and it can throw people totally off guard if they see it. Hopefully I can get a better version of it caught on video. Maybe I can send it in to David Letterman and we can go out for stupid human tricks...

Too bad this will end when he is about 1 year of age...he could of had a very prosperous job in the circus!

Here is a failed attempt to catch it but as you can see sometimes he prefers something else in his mouth instead of the binkie!

This Sunday October 21st from 1-3pm the Peoria Jaycees have their annual Kids Day at the Haunted House.
Located at Expo Gardens off of Northmor Rd.

Kids get to go through the Haunted House with all the lights ON and trick or treat their way through.

Also there will be crafts, games, and prizes!

The first 100 kids get a free pumpkin!

Whatever so the Cubs didn't even show up to play the playoffs! Zambrano was the only thing actually playing baseball that night and Lou takes him out so he will be fresh to pitch a game that SURPRISE they never got to play...It was like an omen...I could see it happening.
Now I usually pull for the team who beat us ...that way if they win the World Series I can say "OH well... at least we got beat by the champs"...well in this case because I think D-Back fans are well...arrogant...I am pulling for the Rockies! So far they are up 1 game and WHAT is with the fact that Arizona couldn't sell out for a division title game. It's mind blowing! @ hours before game time they still had blocks of 25 you could buy together!

So as it goes the Bears broke our hearts on Sept 30th (while the Packers are still
undefeated) and then the Cubs went down the spiral and as a Chicago fan I was feeling pretty down and then last Sunday we gear up to watch the Bears play the Packers for Sunday night football and amazingly enough...The freakin Bears pull off the upset and beat the Packers...So now all is forgotten and as a sports fan I can sit back and get back to being a Chicago fan again.
Y'See all we need is for the Cubs to beat the Cardinals and the Bears beat the Packers.
Life is going to be okay!

Cubs Lose but...

So we watched the game last night and they couldn't quite pull it off...AGH! Aramis hit 2 so close almost home runs...compared to the AZ D-backs 2 actual home runs!
I have a bit of a rant...Why do the Diamondbacks have D-backs on the front of their uniforms? Your name is the Arizona Diamondbacks we call you D-backs because it is easier but to stitch you official jersey with D-Backs...I don't get it!

I get it they are in AZ but really...luckily I am a night person.
I think I will be going to Kellehers as they are hosting a Playoff night and it is sponsored by the Peoria Chiefs. Since I am a season ticket holder I get to go to the VIP area...(HEHEHE I know it just makes me giggle but hey 2 free drinks and free horsey doerveys...I'm in!) plus $1 Old Style and $1.50 Chicago Style Hot dogs...Both not on my diet but Hellooo the Cubs are in the playoffs!

Sorry Cubs...You got Trumped!

Okay so I will quickly touch on the fact that the Cubs took thew division...It got a bit close but the Brewers helped us out...I wish I could give a great story about being at a great bar watching with friends and the final out ...we all cheer. But I don't.

I was actually helping my friend set up her reception for her wedding on Saturday. So Friday night consisted of Rehearsal...Rehearsal Dinner at Peoria Pizza Works. Now we did have the game on and we won...but we didn't know the outcome yet of the Brewers game. We then went to the Reception hall and had a great time decorating and getting everything ready! (I will come back to post about the wedding cause it was awesome). Back to the Cubs...So another friend and I were cruising in the car to pick something up for the reception and she got a call from a friend who told her the padres won. I know kinda boring but Oh well...The wedding Way out trumped the Cubs for the weekend. I know all think I put the CUBS into one of the top sections of my priorities list but This Wedding took tops...Sorry CUBS!
